Valerie Cojucar sadly passed away following a very brief battle with Ovarian Cancer on 7th October 2021. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, she was much loved by everyone.
She died very suddenly, only 2 months after her initial diagnosis. No doubt she had been poorly for some time but she was always determined to carry on as normal and to 'wait and see' in her words...It came as a shock to us all that she had been so unwell for such a long time without her fully realising.
Ovarian Cancer has been dubbed 'The silent killer' as it is often difficult to recognise the symptoms until the disease has progressed too far for treatment. This was the case with Val. The charity Target Ovarian Cancer is the only specialist Ovarian cancer charity in the UK. Their work is dedicated to improving early diagnosis, funding life-saving research and providing much-needed support to everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
For those attending the funeral on 29th October, the family have requested a donation to this charity instead of flowers. For those unable to attend the funeral but would like to donate to such a worthy cause, it would be greatly appreciated.
With Love,
Valerie's family
